The Love That Was Destroyed
by a roach...

As I was sitting on the bench all alone at night,
i was wooed by Mr. Kit who lived downstairs...

Usually cold towards the advances of others,
my heart was captured by the wild antics of Kit.
I must confess I even pondered on the possibility of inviting Kit home,
Together, we could share the blanket...

Of course I understood that such a momentous decision could not be made by me alone.

I decided to ask my sister,
and equally charmed she was

UNTIL...

Kit started to pursue another.

I was shocked!
My good sister was appalled!

HOW DARE HE!!!

I, always magnamimous, was willing to share with another...
But not when Kit ran towards us with a live cockroach hanging from its mouth!!!

As we fled from Kit, I knew it was over between us.

It was good while it lasted...

Happy Graduation Ah Soh!

I still blog even though I know no one even views my blog anymore hurhur... Because this is a milestone in my life and is to be marked thus!

On the 5th July 2007:
It was a Friendly Thursday Afternoon:
Being 'persuaded' by my mom, I unwillingly went down to buy my graduation gown and to collect my invitation cards 40min before the actual commencement. T_T

It was my convocation.

Yes that big day where freshly graduated university students don the graduation gown and celebrate the completion of an excellent education and the university's longstanding prestige as an academic institute of outstanding scholarly acheivements.

It was the day whereby the honoured Professors and Doctors and others don their Duke of Academiadom outfits (Refer to Picture 1) and nod stately as the Dean and Guest Of Honour address the crowd of flat top hats.

Picture 1.

It was the day I sat alone at the corner (being the last to register for commencement in my whole cohort, I was not able sit together with e graduating batch) nodding away without restraint in a not so stately manner.

It was also the day my mom had a sudden urge to flee to the loo in the middle of the presentation but could not because my elder sister and her managed to get prime seats, right in the centre of the row.

haha.

Seven megawatt smiles

It was the day that marked the end of a phase in my life.

And so to properly celebrate;

You know what they say, share the joy equally in the household.

Some times there is this droning going on beside you.. you want to stop it but u can't... you want to get rid of it but you dun know how to... you want to escape from it but you're bound to the spot...
Your heart is burning with frustration.
Your mind is reeling with irritatedness.
Your hands are cramping with the restraint.
You stay still and pretend there is nothing around you.

Looking at the random old man sitting alone in the food court alternating between falling asleep and looking out the window.

Looking at the defeated looking back at you with jaded eyes telling you they dun care what they do, they just need a job.

Looking at your sister and hearing her voice over the phone while she's in the car that you're not in at the traffic light.

Looking at his sad face helplessly

Looking at your father going through toto tickets one by one, throwing them into the dustbin.

It makes my heart ache.
